1. About Us
In-House Chef provides private chef services including weekly in-home meal preparation, fine dining experiences, and event catering. By booking our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
2. Bookings & Confirmation
- All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by In-House Chef.
- A booking is only secured once confirmed in writing via email.
- We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
3. Payments & Invoicing
Meal Prep Services
- Payment is required 7 days prior to the first scheduled service date.
- Where bookings are made at short notice, payment may be required at the time of booking.
- For regular customers, we are happy to arrange:
- An invoice, or
- A Direct Debit (DD) payment arrangement, subject to agreement.
Fine Dining Experiences
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking date.
- The remaining 50% balance is due 7 days prior to the event date.
- Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
Events & Special Occasions
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the event date.
- The remaining 50% balance is due 7 days prior to the event date.
Failure to make payments within the stated timeframes may result in cancellation.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
Meal Prep
- Cancellations must be made with reasonable notice.
- Payments made within 7 days of service are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed.
Fine Dining & Events
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- Cancellations made within 7 days of the booking date are non-refundable in full.
- In the unlikely event that In-House Chef must cancel, all payments made will be refunded in full.
5. Changes to Bookings
- Any changes to menus, dates, guest numbers, or dietary requirements must be communicated as early as possible.
- Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
- Final guest numbers must be confirmed no later than 72 hours before the booking.
6. Allergies & Dietary Requirements
- Clients must inform In-House Chef of any allergies, intolerances, or dietary requirements at the time of booking.
- While every care is taken, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
- In-House Chef accepts no liability where accurate or complete information has not been provided.
7. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to provide:
- A clean, safe, and suitable kitchen environment.
- Access to working utilities and appropriate equipment.
- A safe working space free from hazards.
In-House Chef reserves the right to refuse service if conditions are deemed unsafe.
8. Leftover Food
- Any leftover food becomes the responsibility of the client once service is complete.
- Storage and reheating advice may be provided; however, In-House Chef accepts no liability once food has been handed over.
9. Damage & Breakages
- Reasonable care will be taken when using client property and equipment.
- Any accidental damage caused by In-House Chef will be discussed and resolved fairly.
- We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or faulty equipment.
10. Photography & Marketing
- From time to time, photographs of dishes may be taken for marketing purposes.
- No images of clients or private homes will be used without prior consent.
11. Liability
- In-House Chef holds appropriate public liability insurance.
- Liability is limited to the total value of the service booked.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
12. Force Majeure
In-House Chef shall not be held liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our control, including illness, severe weather, or government restrictions.
13. Privacy
All personal information is handled in accordance with UK data protection laws and will never be shared without consent.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
